Ben Redelings (born November 21, 1975 in Bochum ) is a German author and filmmaker .

Life

After graduating from the Hildegardis School in Bochum in 1995, he studied German, social sciences and Dutch in Bochum and Amsterdam to become a teacher.

Redelings has been organizing football cultural evenings since 2001. Initially under the name of "Torepunkte Championships" and since 2003 under the umbrella term "Scudetto". In this context, he has already welcomed guests such as Peter Neururer , Frank Goosen , Fritz Eckenga , Stefan Kuntz , Bernard Dietz , Hermann Gerland , Michael Lameck and Willi Lippens .

In the spring of 2004 Redelings released his first film, a documentary about VfL Bochum . Since then he has devoted himself exclusively to football as an author and filmmaker. He writes for the magazines 11 Freunde , Reviersport and Spiegel Online. He also shoots the video column Scudetto-TV, which was already running on Spiegel Online . The radio station 1 Live once described Redelings as the first “full-time professional in football culture”.

In 2014 he started a new series of books at Die Werkstatt , his Bundesliga albums. In 2014 alone, he released ten albums about clubs in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga.

Ben Redelings lives with his family in Bochum. He is a member of the German Academy for Football Culture .
