Ben Reibel (born August 27, 1997 in Krefeld ) is a German water polo player and the son of Guido Reibel .

Career

Ben Reibel started playing water polo at SV Bayer Uerdingen 08 in 2009 . He switched from the swimming to the water polo department within the club. His father Guido was a German national water polo player and took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona .

Reibel played his first game in the German Water Polo League on October 25, 2014 against the Water Sports Friends of 1898 Hanover . He is active in the water polo Bundesliga and has been an integral part of the German national team since December 2017. To date he has completed more than 50 international matches. He took part in the European Championship 2018 in Barcelona, ​​2020 in Budapest and the 2019 World Cup in Gwangju. From 2017 to 2020 he played for Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 with whom he became German champion in 2019. From the 2020/2021 season he will play for ASC Duisburg.

He is studying business administration and is in a relationship with the Brazilian water polo goalkeeper Victória Chamorro.
