Benedict Majekodunmi

Benedict Majekodunmi (born January 12, 1940 in Abeokuta ) is a former Nigerian sprinter .

In 1966 he failed at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston over 440 yards in advance and was sixth with the Nigerian 4-by-440-yard relay.

At the Olympic Games in 1968 he was disqualified in the 4-by-100-meter relay with the Nigerian team in the semifinals.

In 1970 he reached the semi-finals at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh over 100 m and was seventh in the 4-by-100-meter relay .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he was eliminated over 100 m in the preliminary run. In the 4 x 100 meter relay he was used in the lead; without him, the Nigerian quartet was eliminated in the semi-finals.

In 1974 he won bronze at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch with the Nigerian 4 x 100 meter relay. He did not get beyond the first lap over 100 m.

He set his personal best over 100 m of 10.3 s in 1968.
