Maria Louise Koekkoek

Maria Louise Koekkoek , also Marie Louise Koekkoek (born December 23, 1840 in Kleve , † 1910 in Durlach ) was a German landscape painter .

Life

Maria Louise Koekkoek came from the Dutch Koekkoek family of painters . The artist was the youngest of five daughters (including Adèle Koekkoek ) of the painter Barend Cornelis Koekkoek and Elise Therese Daiwaille and the granddaughter of the painter Johannes Hermanus Koekkoek . Her father taught her to paint. After his early death in 1862, she continued her father's tradition and became a landscape painter. Her works were created between 1855 and 1910.
