Benedikt Foeger

Benedikt O. Föger (born August 1, 1970 in Ried im Innkreis ) is an Austrian publisher , science journalist and author.

Life

After studying biology and German in Vienna, Föger worked in the Association for Probation Assistance and Social Work; Research stays at Oxford University and in Uruguay followed .

Föger wrote numerous scientific publications as a science journalist (especially in the "Spectrum" of the "Presse" and "Universum Magazin") and author. For this he was awarded the Austrian Promotion Prize for Science Journalism 2001. Föger has been a managing partner at Czernin Verlag since 2004 . In 2004 he received the Bruno Kreisky Prize for special publishing achievements . From 2009 to 2014 Föger was Chairman of the Austrian Publishers Association and Vice President of the Main Association of the Austrian Book Trade . Since 2014 he has been President of the Main Association of the Austrian Book Trade.
