Life

In exile in Ebersmünster, Benedikt Wülberz made his profession in 1713 , Ulrich Bürgi (abbot from 1719 to 1739), the prior and later predecessor in office ; he studied theology in various monasteries and in Freiburg and was ordained a priest in 1721. On August 4, 1739 he was elected abbot. At the same time he was prior of St. Ulrich in the Black Forest . During his time there were numerous warlike actions, so that building activity was only possible to a limited extent. Nevertheless, in 1739 he signed a contract with Peter Thumb to build the church of St. Ulrich in the Black Forest. In September 1747 he stayed at the monastery of St. Blasien for the consecration of Prince Abbot Cölestin Vogler . On November 6th, 1749 he was buried by Abbot Hieronymus von St.Georgen in the crypt of St. Peter. One of his brothers was Stanislaus Wülberz .
