The Benedictine Monastery of Paris (Rue Tournefort) was a priory of the Benedictine Sisters of the Holy Sacrament in Paris , France , from 1808 to 1975 .

After the French Revolution closed the women's convents in Paris, founded by Mechtilde de Bar in 1792, on rue Cassette and rue Neuve-Saint-Louis , some underground sisters remained true to their vows and found each other again from 1802 (first on rue de la Perle , then on Rue Saint Louis , from 1805 on Rue Vieille du Temple ). In 1807 the congregation was re-admitted by decree. The sisters then bought the monastery of the sisters of Sainte-Aure (1707–1792, to Aurea of ​​Paris † 665) in 1808 with private support in rue Tournefort (then rue Neuve Sainte-Geneviève ). From 1904 to 1907 the convent, expelled from the Third Republic , lived in exile in Moignelée ( Sambreville municipality ) east of Charleroi in Belgium.
