The Benediktsplatz in Erfurt is located on the western entrance of the Merchants' Bridge in the historic Old Town . It was first mentioned in 1510 under the name Für der Kremerbrucken . In 1817 the name was changed to Vor der Krämerbrücke . 1831 he was commemorating the Benediktikirche that stood here and 1809 / 1810 by the French General domain Director Gentil , renamed was sold to the highest bidder for demolition in Benediktsplatz. Michaelisstraße , Kreuzgasse , Krämerbrücke, Rathausbrücke and Fischmarkt meet at Benediktsplatz .
