Bengt Walden (born March 16, 1973 in Nacka ) is a former Swedish luge athlete who started for the USA from 2007 until his retirement in 2011 . Since 2011 he has been the trainer of the Norwegian luge team.

Bengt Walden has been married to the US luge Ashley Walden since 2007 and has since started for the USA. The Swede previously competed for his home country. In 1985 he started tobogganing, from 1988 he was a member of the Swedish national team. He started in a single and double-seater, mostly with Anders Söderberg . Walden took part in three Junior World Championships from 1990 to 1992 and was three times among the fastest ten (two times in single and once in double). From 1991 he also started at world championships in the general class. His best World Championship placings were two sixth places in the single seater and in the team competition at the 2009 World Championships in Lake Placid . Before that, he was only once in ninth place in the two-seater competition at the 2000 World Championships , making it into the top ten. At European Championships Walden took part from 1994 to 2006. His best results were ninth place in the two-seater in 1998 and tenth place in the single-seater in 1994 . From 1994 to 2010 Walden took part in four Olympic Winter Games, only in 2006 he was not at the start. As the best Olympic results, he achieved 15th place in the singles in 2010 and 12th place in the doubles with Anders Söderberg in 1998 .

In the spring of 2011, Walden ended his active career at the age of 38. He then succeeded Grant Albrechts as coach of the Norwegian luge team.
