Benito Pedro Llambí

Benito Pedro Llambí (born May 10, 1907 in Villa Mercedes , † December 22, 1997 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine diplomat and politician .

Life

From January 7, 1947 to January 26, 1950 he was envoy in Bern and represented the Delegación Argentina de Inmigración en Europa in Switzerland. Uki Goñi found ten visas for people who had entered undocumented from the German Reich, which were issued by the Argentine diplomatic mission in Bern during the Gira del arco iris in October 1947 . From 1950 to 1952 he was envoy in Stockholm . In 1973 Héctor José Cámpora appointed him Ambassador Extraordinary and Ministre plénipotentiaire , with which he could be appointed Master of Ceremonies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From June 17, 1973 to August 13, 1974 he was Minister of the Interior in the governments of Raúl Alberto Lastiri and Juan Perón . In 1975 he was ambassador to Ottawa . From 1989 to 1992 he was ambassador to Montevideo . His mausoleum is in the La Recoleta cemetery .
