Benjamin Gottlieb Müller

Benjamin Gottlieb Müller (* around 1752 in Glogau ; † February 13, 1816 in Breslau ) was a Prussian military and administrative lawyer. He was Lord Mayor of Wroclaw.

Life

He was a son of Balthasar Friedrich Müller (faber stannarius). From October 1770 Müller studied law at the Brandenburg University of Frankfurt . After that he was an auditor in the Tauentzien Regiment .

From August 1786 Müller was councilor in Breslau, from 1791 syndic and from November 1796 senior syndic of the city. In September 1802 he was released from this office and on November 10, 1806 he became the first Lord Mayor of Breslau. In September 1812 he resigned from this office.

During his term of office the introduction and implementation of the Prussian town order of 1808 fell.

Müller had been a Freemason since 1777 .
