Benjamin Plüss (born March 3, 1979 in Bülach ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who was under contract in the National League A with Friborg-Gottéron , the SCL Tigers and the Kloten Flyers . His brother Martin Plüss was also a professional ice hockey player.
Career
Benjamin Plüss began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of the Kloten Flyers , for whose professional team he made his national league A debut in the 1998/99 season . The 2000/01 season spent the winger in Lausanne HC in the National League B . He then played for two years for the NLA participant SCL Tigers . Since the 2003/04 season he was on the ice for Friborg-Gottéron in the NLA. In 2013 he reached the final of the NLA with the team. Plüss played in 743 NLA games during his career and scored 444 scorer points. In March 2016 he announced the end of his playing career after having been active for Friborg for 13 years. His jersey number 13 has been banned by Friborg-Gottéron.
International
For Switzerland , Plüss took part in the 2012 World Cup and the 2014 World Cup. He made a total of 43 international matches for Switzerland.
