Lars Benno Magnusson (born February 4, 1953 in Ålem , Kalmar län ) is a former Swedish football player .

career

Magnusson began his career at Åtvidabergs FF . In the winter of 1973/74 the striker came to 1. FC Kaiserslautern , where he became a regular player, but did not score a single Bundesliga goal. Therefore, after only one season, he was given up to league competitor Hertha BSC , where he immediately won the German runner-up.

After another season in the German House of Lords, he moved back to Sweden to Kalmar FF .

Magnusson played eleven times for the Swedish national team . With the country selection, he took part in the 1974 World Cup, in which Sweden failed only in the second group stage.

Private

His older brother Roger was also a soccer player and, in addition to the Swedish national team, also played for 1. FC Cologne , Juventus Turin and Olympique Marseille .
