Bente is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Bente belongs to the Vila Nova de Famalicão district in the Braga district . The community had an area of 1.37 km² and 926 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Bente and Carreira were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Carreira e Bente .
