Berengar Elsner von Gronow (politician, 1903)

Berengar Elsner von Gronow (born November 17, 1903 , † January 31, 1981 ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and genealogist . From 1933 to 1936 he was mayor of Swinoujscie .

Life

Elsner von Gronow studied agricultural science and graduated as a qualified farmer. Then he became managing director of the bookshop of the NSDAP in Göttingen. After he exhibited notices by the Illustrierte Beobachter there, which propagated the anti-Semitic ritual murder legend , he was fined 300 Reichsmarks in 1928 for sedition and insulting denominations, religious societies and ideological associations . During the National Socialist era , he was mayor of Swinoujscie from 1933 to 1936 . At the same time he was a consultant in the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda . In 1964 he was a co-founder of the genealogical-heraldic working group Roland zu Dortmund.
