Beresna ( Ukrainian and Russian Березна ) is a village in the southwest of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with about 1000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1616, is the only place of the 39.235 km² district council of the same name in the north of Wolodarka Rajon .
Beresna is 8 km north of Rajonzentrum Volodarka and about 120 km south west of Kiev at the mouth of Beresnjanka ( Березнянка ) in Ros and the territorial road T-10-13 .
Personalities
The Ukrainian physicist, professor and academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Anton Komar ( Антон Пантелеймонович Комар , † 1985) was born in the village in 1904 .
