Geographical location

Berevo, with a population of around 3,000 (as of 2001), is located at 51 m above sea level in the Menabe region , in the Toliara province , in western Madagascar. The Tsiribihina River borders the town to the west.

economy

45% of the inhabitants, who belong to the Sakalava people , live from agriculture and mainly grow rice, tobacco and cassava . 25% each live from cattle breeding and fishing. Another 5% live from the service industry.
