Berit Carow

Berit Carow (born January 12, 1981 in Berlin ) is a German rower . It usually starts in an easy double scull, more rarely in a single. Her club is the rowing society HANSA (Hamburg), her trainer is Rita Hendes .

Career

Berit Carow celebrated her first success at the Student World Championships in 2004 when she took first place in the easy double sculls. In the following year she started at the Rowing World Cup and reached third place in the easy double sculls in Eton and second place in Munich . Carow was able to repeat the placement in Munich in 2006.

At the Rowing World Championships 2006 in Eton Berit Carow won the silver medal in the single competition. In 2007 at the World Championships in Munich she reached third place in the easy double scull. In 2008 Carow took third place in Lucerne , second in Poznan and first in Munich at her World Cup starts in double sculls . At the German Small Boat Championship , she came second in the single.

Berit Carow was part of the German squad for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing .
