Rita Hendes
Rita Hendes (born July 14, 1954 in Hamburg ) is a German rowing trainer.
As an amateur coach, the full-time management consultant has won numerous world championship medals with selected boats from the German Rowing Association , including gold medals in the eighth of the lightweights in 1996 and 1998. She also trained the lightweight four without a helmsman for the 2000 Olympic Games and in 2005 three gold medals for the U23- Can win world championships. I.a. she trained Christian Dahlke , Joel El-Qalqili and Ole Rückbrodt for years .
The first gold medals for the DRV under their direction were won by the women's lightweight double scull with Christiane Weber ( rowing club at the Teichwiesen , Hamburg) and Claudia Waldi ( RTHC Bayer Leverkusen ): They became world champions in Vienna in 1991 and in Montreal in 1992 .
