Berlin film

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Berlin-Film GmbH , which existed from 1941 to 1945, was a German film production company that only retained formal independence when it was incorporated into the nationalized Ufa Group (Ufi) in 1942 . Berlin-Film GmbH was created by Cautio Treuhand GmbH on February 2, 1941 to provide employment for those filmmakers who had become unemployed the day before the liquidation of the 17 privately owned Berlin film production companies. Only a few private companies were still tolerated to produce cultural and advertising films (e.g. Epoche-Color-Film AG) or German dubbed versions of foreign-language films (e.g. Hispano-Film-Produktion GmbH, Atlas-Filmproduktion).

Production group leaders at Berlin-Film GmbH were Adolf Elling , Friedrich Wilhelm Gaik , Ernst Garden , Heinrich Jonen , Otto Ernst Lubitz , Christoph Mülleneisen , Felix Pfitzner , Franz Tapper , Franz Vogel and Hans von Wolzüge .
