Adolf Elling
Adolf W. Elling (born November 28, 1901 in Hanover , German Empire ; † August 13, 1996 in Salt Lake City , Utah , United States ) was a German film production manager and line producer .
Live and act
The younger brother of the director Alwin Elling belonged to the Corps Slesvico-Holsatia at a young age . Before Elling joined the film in 1934, he received a commercial training. Since 1936 he has been a production manager for film and was mainly entrusted with the production of his brother's productions. The majority of these films were made in the family's own production company Astra Filmkunst, which was based in Munich after the war . However, Eelling's most important production was Herbert Maisch's ambitious film adaptation of the novel Die Zaubergeige , which he made for Berlin-Film .
In 1955, Adolf Elling decided to emigrate to the United States. He settled in Salt Lake City and was soon promoted to the position of Mormon high priest of Latter-day Saints Church of Jesus Christ , or LDS Church for short . Adolf Elling earned his living in the USA with the production of aluminum doors and windows. At the age of 72 he retired into private life. Elling had been married since 1933.
