Ernst Garden
Ernst Garden (born November 20, 1900 in Friedeberg , † probably early 1945 in Berlin ) was a German film production manager and production manager .
Life
After completing his commercial training, Garden initially worked as a production manager and in this role, among others, the films Horrido, The Poacher, Mary Lou, Ariadne im Hoppegarten, Anesthesia and Hurray! Raid! supervised. In 1926 he also made a highly regarded animal documentary in what is now Ethiopia .
In 1932 Garden moved to production manager and worked in this position for various smaller Berlin companies. In 1937 Ernst Garden moved to the Cine-Allianz Tonfilm and in 1940 to Wien-Film as a production manager under the patronage of Erich von Neusser . In 1943 Garden received its own production group at Berlin-Film .
Garden probably died a few weeks or months before the end of the war under unexplained circumstances; on the cover of his Reichsfilmkammer file (which was kept until April 1945) there is only the note “deceased”.
