action

The somewhat unworldly millionaire Aristides Nessel relies on a dream German and the predictions of a seedy fortune teller when planning his future. Much to the chagrin of his pretty secretary Anna Busch, who runs the neglected porcelain factory behind his back. When the cards predict that Aristides will meet his future bride in a collision, he rams the first car that comes out of the parking lot and meets Siddie, the spoiled daughter of the newly rich entrepreneur Martin Fasan, to whom he stands up to propose marriage. However, in the heat of the moment, he forgets to ask her for her name as well as her address.

When he wanted to introduce himself to her parents the next evening, he accidentally got into the apartment of the quirky neurologist Prof. Ass, who was expecting a young man with a “savior nature” who was supposed to cure his lovesick daughter as part of an experiment. When Aristides notices that he is in the wrong apartment, he has already asked the father for the hand of the unknown daughter, who also has no objection to the wedding. On the way out, he meets the right bride - and ends the evening with two fiancés.

From then on, Aristides is fully occupied with keeping his double engagement a secret from those concerned, until he finally has to literally dance at two weddings at the same time before he realizes that his secretary Anna is the right one for him.
