Alexa von Porembsky , also Alexa von Poremsky (born June 5, 1906 in Ödenburg , † August 18, 1981 in Berlin ) was a German actress of Hungarian origin .

Life

She took acting lessons from Gertrud Eysoldt and made her stage debut in 1925 as Köhlerjunge in a performance of Das Käthchen von Heilbronn at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. She danced with the Erik Charells revues and sang chansons by Rudolf Nelson and Victor Hollaender . She posed as a nude model for the Art Nouveau artist Emil Orlik .

From 1933 to 1944 she was part of the Volksbühne ensemble . Since 1928 it has also been used in film. In supporting roles she played maids, market women, secretaries and neighbors. Until 1961 she acted in a total of 32 films.

After the war, Alexa von Porembsky worked at the Hebbel Theater , from 1950 at the Renaissance Theater and also worked as a voice actress. She lent her voice to the character Anastasia in the cartoon Cinderella (1950). She had her last major appearance in 1978 when she was over 70 years old in the TV series Heiter bis wolkig . In 1981 she appeared in the television series The Maurizius case in three episodes as a cook.

She was the mother of actress Nina von Porembsky .
