The Berlin Buffalos are a Berlin inline skate hockey club founded in 1996 with a men's and a junior department. The teams of all ages started from 2009 to 2012 under the name MO Buffalos Berlin, based on a sponsorship agreement with MO Unternehmensberatung GmbH. For the 2013 season, the name of the men's team was changed back to Berlin Buffalos, while the junior teams partly adopted the name of their cooperation partner Red Devils Berlin. The home venue has been the Lilli-Henoch-Halle in the Schöneberg district since 2008 . The Vorarlberger Damm sports complex also serves as a training facility.

In the first 13 years of the club's history to date, the Berlin Buffalos have continuously improved their performance. In the first five years of ISHD, they played exclusively in the Regionalliga Nord-Ost, but the next six years were mainly characterized by participation in the second division. In 2010 and 2011 the men's team played in the 1st Bundesliga, but rose again to the 2nd Bundesliga as a result of the abolition of the division into the North and South. After three years in the second division, he was promoted back to the first division in 2014.

So far, this continuity has been lacking in the junior division. Sometimes one suffered from the sometimes low competition in the Berlin area, and sometimes also from the low-birth cohorts after the reunification. While six players from their own offspring made it into the men's squad from the years 1989 to 1991, you can currently only present young BISHL teams in all age groups through cooperation with the Red Devils Berlin.

In 2009, Paul Fiedler and Timothy Stephan, two "buffalos" were appointed to German national teams. While Fiedler finished fourth with the men at the European Championships in Lugano, Switzerland , Stephan was unable to take part in the German Junior European Championship victory in Stegersbach in Austria due to injury. In 2010 and 2011 Fiedler was nominated again and reached third place at the EM 2010, which was again held in Lugano, and was European champion at the EM 2011 in Stegersbach.

During the 2011 season, the Berlin-born Marcel Müller ( Krefeld Pinguine ) - former Toronto Maple Leafs player - switched to the Buffalos in order to keep fit during the summer breaks of the DEL and in the past NHL .

In the two years after the first division relegation in 2011, various top performers from previous years and coach O. Laux left the club for sporting reasons or ended their careers, which was noticeable in the placements. As a result of a rebuilding that began in 2013 with newcomers, returnees and a tactical reorientation, success returned, which means that the team will compete in the first skater hockey Bundesliga again in 2015.
