Bernadette Collenberg-Plotnikov

Bernadette Collenberg-Plotnikov (* 1963 ) is a German philosopher.

Life

From 1982 to 1989 she studied art history , Romance studies and philosophy at the Universities of Bochum , Paris ( University Paris IV , École du Louvre ), Constance . After receiving his PhD in 1996, phil. in art history at the Free University of Berlin (title of the dissertation: Classicism and Caricature. A Constellation of Art at the Beginning of Modernism ) from 1995 to 2008 she was a research assistant at the Institute for Philosophy (Department III) at the FernUniversität in Hagen and a member of the DFG - Project "Aesthetics and speculative art history. Philosophical foundations of art history as historical science in Hegelianism" (1999–2001).

After her habilitation in 2009 and private lectureship in Hagen for the subjects of philosophical aesthetics, art theory and art history (habilitation thesis: "Art as image criticism. The genesis of modern art reflection in Hegel and in Hegelianism") she was a lecturer at the Folkwang University of the Arts from 2009 to 2013 as well as at the design department of the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences . From 2013 to 2014 she worked at the Hegel Archive at the Ruhr University Bochum and prepared the edition of GWF Hegel's lectures on the philosophy of world history. From 2014 to 2018 she worked ('own position') at the Philosophical Seminar of the University of Münster (supervision of the DFG project The project 'General Art History' (1906–1943): central idea - institution - context ).

Since 2014 she has been teaching as an adjunct professor at the Institute for Philosophy at the FernUniversität in Hagen. Since 2018 she has been working at the Research Center for Classical German Philosophy / Hegel Archive at the Ruhr University Bochum and creates the commentary on GWF Hegel's lectures on the philosophy of art.
