Bernardino Poccetti (born August 27, 1548 in Florence ; † November 10, 1612 there ; actually Bernardo Barbatelli ) was an Italian painter .

Poccetti learned from M. Ghirlandajo , then went to Rome , where he studied Raphael's works and especially trained in grotesque painting, to which his best creations belong. On his return to Florence he created religious frescoes in the monasteries of Santa Maria Novella , Santissima Annunziata and San Marco . But its importance lies primarily in its ornamental paintings ( ceiling arabesques in the Uffizi ).
