Bernd Enders

Bernd Enders (born September 9, 1947 in Siegen ) is a German musicologist and was Professor of Systematic Musicology at the University of Osnabrück from 1994 until his retirement in 2015 .

Life

Enders studied at the PH Westfalen-Lippe and at the State University of Music in Cologne . He graduated with a state examination in several subjects. In 1980 received his doctorate Enders at the University of Cologne in musicology, philosophy and pedagogy and began the teaching profession as a teacher . Since 1981 he has been a lecturer in the field of music / musicology at the University of Osnabrück , where he completed his habilitation in 1986. From 1992 to 1994 Enders was professor at the Musicological Institute of the University of Cologne ( Music in the 20th Century ) and since 1994 he has been Professor of Systematic Musicology at the University of Osnabrück ( Institute for Musicology and Music Education ) with a focus on music electronics / musical informatics .

Enders has published books and articles, in particular on scientific, cultural and educational issues that deal with music technology, multimedia and music informatics. He organized and led international congresses on this topic, was program director of the Osnabrücker KlangArt , gave lectures and designed radio programs. He is the leader of the eLearning project CAMI, which u. a. Since 1986 he has been involved in the development and publication of the internationally distributed music learning program “Computerkolleg Musik”, which was awarded the Comenius EduMedia Award 2000 by the Society for Education and Information (GPI) . He is also the initiator and managing director of the Music and Media Technology Research Center (FMT) at the University of Osnabrück, founded in 1997, and founder and co-editor of the musicological online publisher epOs-Music . Until 2018 he was a board member of the institute virtUOS (= Center for the Support of Virtual Teaching at the University of Osnabrück) since it was founded in 2002. In 2009 he was a visiting professor at the musicological institute of the Karl-Franzens-University Graz. From 2012 to 2014 he was chairman of the Osnabrück Scientific Society (OWiG) and director of the Institute for Musicology and Music Education (IMM) at the University of Osnabrück.
