Bernd Genser

Bernd Genser (born October 23, 1946 in Graz ) is an Austrian engineer and economist .

Life

Bernd Genser studied at the University of Graz and graduated in 1972 with a degree in engineering. In the following years until 1975 he was employed there as a research assistant . A further education program at the Technical University of Vienna , from 1975 to 1978 he finished with a Ph.D. At the same time he held the position of assistant professor at the University of Vienna until 1985 . In 1983 he completed his habilitation in public economics and applied economics at the University of Vienna.

In 1985 he accepted an appointment at the University of Konstanz . Since 1986 he has held the Chair of Public Finance there .

Bernd Genser is a brother-in-law of the Austrian organist Ernst Triebel .
