Bernd Heinemann (born February 25, 1952 in Kiel - Hassee ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He is a member of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament .

Life and work

After graduating from secondary school, Heinemann learned the profession of electromechanic at the Kiel Marine Arsenal and also worked at the Howaldt shipyard in Kiel . After graduating from school, he became a qualified social worker and worked as a youth worker in Nortorf . From 1989 to 2010 he was managing director of the Schleswig-Holstein regional office for addiction issues .

Bernd Heinemann has three children and lives with his wife in Kiel-Wellsee .

Heinemann was a member of the Kiel council from 1994 to 2009 and deputy mayor for ten years .

Since October 27, 2009 he has been a member of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament. He was directly elected in the state electoral district of Kiel-Ost with 39.8%, and was thus one of only six members who were able to win an electoral district directly for the SPD in 2009 . In the state parliament he was a member of the social committee, since 2012 of the petitions committee. In the state elections in 2012 he was re-elected to the state parliament with 49.1% of the vote. In the constituent session of the state parliament he was elected first vice president of the 18th electoral term.

In the state elections in 2017 he was able to defend his direct mandate with 40.4% of the vote. In the 19th electoral term of the state parliament, Bernd Heinemann is a member of the Petitions Committee, the European Committee and a deputy member of the Education and Social Committee. For the SPD parliamentary group he is the spokesman for health policy , drug and addiction policy, Low German , Baltic Sea policy. He is a member of the working groups for work, social affairs, day-care centers, health and equality and education and is vice-chairman and member of the working group for Europe, minorities, cross-border cooperation and the metropolitan region.
