Bernd Holdorff

Bernd Holdorff (* 1938 in Lübeck ) is a German neurologist and medical historian .

Holdorff studied medicine at the Philipps University of Marburg , the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Marburg , the Free University of Berlin and the University of Hamburg . It was in 1966 with the work on the effect of ergotamine tartrate on the arterial pulse doctorate . This was followed by further training at the Free University of Berlin, where he completed his habilitation and was appointed as an adjunct professor . Holdorff headed the Neurology Clinic at the Kassel Clinic and later the Neurology Department at the Schlosspark Clinic in Berlin. Holdorff was chairman of the German Society for the History of Neurology from 2008 to 2012 and is now a member of its scientific advisory board. His medical historical research is dedicated to a. the history of neurology in Berlin and representatives of the field such as Hermann Oppenheim , Friedrich H. Lewy and Arthur Simons .
