Bernd Lehmann (geodesist)

Bernd Lehmann (born November 16, 1951 in Wiesbaden ; † August 19, 2018 in Trier ) was a German geodesist .

Lehmann studied geodesy from 1972 to 1977 at the Technical University of Darmstadt . From 1977 to 1979 he completed his legal clerkship for the higher service in the surveying administration in Hesse and passed the second state examination in August 1979. He then worked as a research assistant at the 'Institute for Photogrammetry and Cartography ' in Faculty 12 'Surveying' at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Between 1985 and 1993 he was a surveyor and senior surveyor as a process manager for land consolidation proceedings in Darmstadt . Since 1993 he has been professor of surveying at the Trier University of Applied Sciences . From 2003 to 2005 he was dean of the civil engineering department and from 2008 to 2011 he was an elected member of the Senate of Trier University of Applied Sciences. In 2017 Lehmann retired.

Lehmann had lived in Trier since 1993, was married and had two children. Since 2009 he has been involved in the Lehmann voter group in the Trier-Mariahof local council . Bernd Lehmann died of pancreatic cancer on August 19, 2018 .
