Bernd Müller (born April 25, 1963 ) is a former German soccer coach and player .

Career

Bernd Müller came to the second division newcomer SpVgg Unterhaching in 1989 through TSV Roth , TSV 04 Schwabach , the amateurs of 1. FC Nürnberg and FC Bayern Munich . After ten goals in 32 point games, which should remain his only ones in professional football, he was relegated to the Bayern League with his club . After a year he switched to league rivals SpVgg Fürth in 1991 . Here he was a goalscorer right from the start and qualified with his club in 1994 for the re-introduced, now third-rate, Regionalliga Süd . In 1994/95 he contributed 17 goals to third place in Fürth. In the following two seasons, however, the number of his goals decreased slightly. In his last season for SpVgg Greuther Fürth , as the club called itself since July 1, 1996, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga , where he mostly only played a role as a joker . He played a total of six games in the DFB Cup competition for SpVgg Unterhaching and SpVgg Fürth / Greuther Fürth .

He then returned to Schwabach in 1997 to play for his former youth club, which has since been renamed SC 04 Schwabach and belongs to the middle season of the Bavarian State League. With this he rose in 1998 to the Oberliga Bayern and his scoring qualities came into their own again; eleven times in 28 point games. From 1999 the FCN amateurs, then league competitor of SC 04 Schwabach, were his next stop. After twelve goals in 1999/2000 , including five goals on matchday 26 in a 7-0 win over 1. FC Passau , he left Nuremberg to work as a player-coach at TSV Roth , for whom he had already played at the beginning of his career to act. Another position followed as a player - coach at ESV Ansbach-Eyb and as a coach at TV 21 Büchenbach and SV Rednitzhembach , where he was under contract from February 2009 to June 2011.
