Bernd Paul

Bernd Paul (* 1958 ) is a German police officer and has been the police chief of the Central Hesse police headquarters since November 2016 .

Career

Paul came in 1974 in the Hessian police and was part of the training for the middle Polizeivollzugsdienst first in the riot police used. After completing his training, he worked for what was then the Wiesbaden police headquarters until 1978 . In 1984 he passed the career test for the senior police enforcement service , after which he moved to the Frankfurt Police Headquarters . Shortly afterwards Paul switched to the Hessian State Criminal Police Office . There he worked in various functions for ten years. In 1988 he began training for the higher service at what was then the Police Leadership Academy in Münster-Hiltrup , which he successfully completed in 1990.

In 1994 Paul moved again to the Frankfurt Police Headquarters, where he was appointed head of the robbery inspectorate , and later as head of the property crime inspection or economic and property crime inspection . From 2001 to 2007 he was a lecturer at the Administrative College in Gießen , before becoming a consultant in the operations department in the state police headquarters in 2007 . In September 2011 he was given the job of Police Vice President in the Police Headquarters in North Hesse . In November 2014, Paul moved to the Hessian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution as a department director , where he was also the President's representative.

On November 21, 2016, he was appointed Police President of the Central Hesse Police Headquarters by the Hessian Interior Minister Peter Beuth .

Paul is married and has a family man.
