The Central Hesse police headquarters is one of seven area headquarters of the Hessian police . The three central Hessian districts of Gießen , Lahn-Dill and Marburg-Biedenkopf of the administrative district of Gießen and the Wetterau district of the administrative district of Darmstadt are looked after . The current police chief is Bernd Paul (as of November 2016).

The police headquarters in Central Hesse consists of six directorates . Four police departments correspond to the four districts of Gießen, Lahn-Dill, Wetterau and Marburg-Biedenkopf.
