The law on the reorganization of the districts of Biedenkopf and Marburg and the city of Marburg of March 12, 1974 then determined the amalgamation of the following former municipalities to form today's large municipality of Fronhausen on July 1, 1974 from the existing municipality of Fronhausen (consisting of the villages of Fronhausen and Sichertshausen) and the surrounding smaller communities Bellnhausen , Erbenhausen , Hassenhausen , Holzhausen and Oberwalgern .

coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved on June 14, 1982 by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior.
Blazon : "In the red shield, which is divided by a silver wavy bar on the left, a silver eagle flight above, seven (4: 3) silver diamonds below."
The coat of arms was selected from several drafts after the formation of the large community. It shows the wavy bar as a symbol for the Lahn flowing through the municipality, as well as the wing and the diamonds from the coats of arms of the bailiffs of Fronhausen and the Schenken zu Schweinsberg as local nobility, whereby the seven number of diamonds refers to the number of districts.
The coat of arms was designed by the heraldist Heinz Ritt .
Partnerships
The municipality of Fronhausen maintains partnership relationships with three French municipalities near Rambouillet : Sonchamp , Clairefontaine-en-Yvelines and La Celle-les-Bordes .
