plant

Bernd Schwarting conjures up richly orchestrated splendor of colors, creates sprawling strands, leaves and flowers that make the painting appear like a lush nature. They are often large-format "color battles" whose painterly vitality almost overwhelms the viewer. Schwarting paints naturally rampant organisms of flaming intensity and luminous coloring: his vegetal and animal-like, eruptive, sometimes floral elements are reminiscent of dry, sometimes decaying, sometimes still in pulsating sap, flowers, mushrooms or fruits in a wide variety of mixed forms the fantasy as well as the seemingly real.
