Bernd Toms

Bernd Toms (born January 1, 1947 in Klagenfurt ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and civil engineer. From 1992 to 2008 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

After elementary school, Toms attended a lower grammar school and then graduated from a technical college in Vienna . After graduating from high school , he studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Vienna, which he obtained with the academic degree Dipl.-Ing. completed. Toms was subsequently professionally active civil engineer and in 1980 the council of Hadersdorf am Kamp selected. Between 1990 and 2009 he held the office of mayor there, and from 1996 to 2000 he was the ÖVP district party chairman of Krems. From 1995 he was district chairman of the association of municipal representatives and represented the ÖVP from October 22, 1992 to April 10, 2008 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
