Bernd Voigtländer (born July 10, 1939 in Dresden ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Voigtländer attended elementary school in Beiersdorf and then trained as a bricklayer. He studied at the civil engineering school in Zittau and then became a civil engineer specializing in structural engineering. Afterwards he did a postgraduate degree in water supply and wastewater treatment at the engineering school for water management in Magdeburg , which he left with a partial degree. After completing his studies, Voigtländer was a project engineer in the VEB Projektierung Wasserwirtschaft Halle and after the fall of the Wall, he was a planning engineer in an engineering office in Halle.

Voigtländer joined the SDP in October 1989 , the predecessor of the SPD in the GDR. He belonged to the party-internal city council of Halle as well as the district council and the district council. In 1991 he became chairman of the local association. In 1990 he was elected to the last people 's chamber , after reunification he was a member of the German Bundestag until the end of the year . Voigtländer has been an expert citizen of Halle's SPD city council group since 2009 .
