Bernd Wolfinger

Bernd Emil Wolfinger (born February 5, 1951 in Pforzheim ) is a German computer scientist and professor .

Life

Bernd Emil Wolfinger studied mathematics from 1970 to 1975 at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) and at the University of Claude Bernard . In 1979 he became a Dr. rer. nat. PhD in computer science .

From 1975 to 1980 Wolfinger was a research assistant at the Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Center . In 1981, after a brief activity as a university assistant at the Faculty of Computer Science in Karlsruhe, he became Professor of Computer Science at the University of Hamburg . He completed research semesters at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center in 1985, at the International Computer Science Institute 1991/1996 and at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie 2001/2006.

He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences , ACM , IEEE and the Society for Computer Science . In 1995 he was awarded the International Cultural Diploma of Honor .
