Berndt Mosblech

Berndt Mosblech (born September 1, 1950 in Duisburg ) is a German author and poet.

Life

After graduating from secondary school, Mosblech completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and worked in a steel company. He later made up his Abitur and, after studying German , philosophy and theology, worked as a teacher in his home town of Duisburg. He wrote poetry, prose and essays and in 1968 published the literary magazine sedimente . In 1971 he was one of the founders of the Duisburg Literary Workshop . In the context of editing and editing activities for various publishers, Mosblech has been responsible for almost 70 book publications since 1972, primarily by young authors.

After a serious car accident in 1986 while studying in Turkey, he lives in a nursing home in Duisburg after several years of lengthy hospital stays. For several years he has been active again in literature. His works are published by the Ralf Liebe publishing house in Weilerswist .

Karl Krolow wrote about Berndt Mosblech in the FAZ in 1975 : “Mosblech's texts are subversive of tenderness. They speak to us and cast us under their spell. They float weightlessly, ignoring time and space. It's pure poetry. Lyrical prose couldn't be more beautiful. "
