Bernhard Böhle (born March 2, 1866 in Unteröwisheim , † February 22, 1939 in Sasbachwalden ) was a shoemaker, businessman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Böhle attended elementary school in Unteröwisheim, learned the shoemaking trade and traveled to part of Germany. In 1888 he came to Strasbourg and founded a cigar and pipe business there in 1891. From 1896 to 1908 he was a member of the City Council of Strasbourg. He was also a member of the District Assembly for Lower Alsace since 1896 and a member of the Second Chamber of the Alsace-Lorraine Landtag since 1911.

From 1907 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine 8 Strasbourg city and the SPD . He prevailed against the liberal candidate Karl Burger in his constituency .
