Bernhard Graf (politician)
Bernhard Graf (born December 15, 1825 in Maisprach ; † November 12, 1875 in Liestal ) was a Swiss politician and judge .
Life
Graf attended the district school and completed a language stay in French-speaking Switzerland . He trained as a farmer and landlord in his father's business. Until 1873 he was the landlord at Zum Rebstock . He made a career up to lieutenant colonel and commander of the cavalry regiment of the 5th division. From a young age he was a district judge in Gelterkinden .
In Maisprach Graf was post holder from 1857 , justice of the peace from 1861 and mayor from 1866 to 1870. From 1866 to 1873 he was in the district administrator , in which he was considered a successful representative of rural concerns. Graf was a member of the government from 1873 to 1875 and held the office of internal affairs and the military.
With his first wife, Graf founded a fund of CHF 1000 in 1870, the interest of which was intended for the further training of the needy.
