In the summer of 2006, Morgenthaler received a lucrative offer from the Grazer AK , but had to return to Admira after a short time, as there were inconsistencies in this transfer. In January 2008 he moved to ASK Schwadorf . In the summer of 2008 Schwadorf and Admira merged to form FC Trenkwalder Admira Wacker Mödling , but Morgenthaler did not receive any special attention afterwards under the coaches Heinz Peischl and Walter Schachner.
