The FC Admira Wacker Mödling II is the second team of the Austrian Bundesliga side FC Admira Wacker Mödling . The team has played in the Regionalliga Ost since the 2008/09 season .

history

The amateurs of that time as VfB Admira Wacker Mödling association occurring rose in 2003 as a master of the division for the first time in the Regional League East on. In the debut season in the Eastern League they finished eleventh in the table. In the 2005/06 season, the team reached fifth place in the Eastern League for the first time a single-digit table rank. In the 2006/07 season they were eliminated again in the first round, this time against the second division club FC Kärnten . In the eastern league they only reached 15th place, which meant that after four years they were relegated to the regional league. In the 2007/08 season they finished 13th in the 2nd national league. For the 2008/09 season, Admira merged with the second division team ASK Schwadorf . The first Admira team took over Schwadorf's place in the second division , the Admira second team took over the place of the former third-class Admira first team in the regional league and thus rose again to the third-highest division after a season break.

In the season after their return, the team reached eighth place in the table and in the cup they reached the second round for the first time after a first round win against ASK Horitschon , but in which they ended up against the Bundesliga club FK Austria Wien . In the 2009/10 season, the Admira Amateurs achieved their best result to date: They were runner-up three points behind FC Waidhofen / Ybbs . In the cup, the Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg was thrown out of the competition in the first round before losing to the second division First Vienna FC in the second round . In the following season, however, there was no more talk of success, they finished twelfth. They didn't even qualify for the cup in the 2010/11 season after losing to the national league team SKU Amstetten . In the 2011/12 season it went further downhill, they reached place 14 and only secured their relegation on the last day of the game with an 8-0 win against SC Columbia Floridsdorf . In the end, you only had one point ahead of the relegation ranks. In the cup they were eliminated in the first round against Vienna Austria.

In the 2012/13 season things went better for the Admira amateurs and they finished fourth. In the 2013/14 season, tenth placed in the top 10 for the second time in a row. The team finished seventh in the 2014/15 season and tenth again in the 2015/16 season. This was to remain the last top 10 placement for several seasons: in the 2016/17 season the team finished eleventh, in the 2017/18 season twelfth. In the 2018/19 season they came in twelfth again and were only three points ahead of the relegation places. In the 2019/20 season they finished 15th after 18th match days and were therefore in great danger of relegation, but the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic , so there were no further consequences for the team.
