Robert Pflug (born June 14, 1945 ) is an Austrian football coach .

Career

Pflugs initially acted as assistant coach to Otto Barić and Gernot Fraydl at Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz . In April 1984, Pflug followed Fraydl as head coach with the Grazers, whom he trained until September of the same year.

1987 Pflug trained the Kapfenberger SV . A second engagement with Sturm followed in November 1991, before he was replaced by the Slovak Ladislav Jurkemik in October 1992 . In 1993 he became coach of the lower class club SV Gratkorn . In 1996 he led the club to the third division regional league , where the club then took on as FC Gratkorn . After almost nine years, he left the club in 2002.

In the 2002/03 season, Pflug coached third-class FC Zeltweg . It was less successful for Pflug with the Zeltwegers; the club from the District Judenburg had as Table of the Regional Center in the division dismount. After relegation, Pflug trained for the Burgenland regional league team SV Oberwart from July to December 2003 .

In the second half of the 2003/04 season he coached the Slovak first division club DAC Dunajská Streda . For the 2005/06 season, Pflug returned to Austria, where he was coach of the amateurs of VfB Admira Wacker Mödling . In August 2005 he replaced Dominik Thalhammer as coach of the Bundesliga team. In February 2006, Pflug was given leave of absence; the Admira was at that time as bottom of the table on a relegation place.

In July 2011 Klug made a second commitment to the regional division FC Gratkorn. In September of the same year, however, he left the club again. For the 2013/14 season he was a third time coach of the Gratkorner, who now only played fourth class. For the 2014/15 season, Pflug was replaced by Johann Pigel .

In September 2014, Pflug took over the fifth-class FC Lankowitz . With the club from Maria Lankowitz he was promoted to the state league in 2015. After the cessation of play in the 2015/16 winter break, he left the club and moved to the regional league club SV Oberwart for a second time.

After a few weeks as a coach for Burgenland, he left the club again in January 2016.

In May 2017, Pflug was a second time coach of the second division Kapfenberger SV, with whom he received a contract valid until the end of the season.

In August 2017, Pflug resigned as a trainer from Kapfenberg. In October 2017 he took over the regional division USV Allerheiligen . He trained this until the end of the 2017/18 season.

On March 20, 2019, Pflug became the sports manager of the fifth-class SV Feldbach .
