Oliver Lederer (born January 2, 1978 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian soccer player and now coach .

Career

As a player

The defensive all-rounder began his career in the offspring of SK Breitenfurt and was a long-term cooperation player for the Austrian record champions SK Rapid Wien in his youth . For only one year he appeared on a cooperation basis in the youth club of the city rival FK Austria Wien . With the Viennese he also made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga. In the second round of the championship he was in the starting line-up in the big Viennese derby against FK Austria Wien and was replaced after the first half. Another championship game followed. Since the Hütteldorfer won the championship plate this season, Lederer was able to call himself Austrian champion at the age of 18. After he was only used four times in the following season and never played through, he moved to Admira Wacker Mödling . Things went better for the midfielder in Mödling. In the league he played 16 of 38 games. Nevertheless, he moved to the second division First Vienna FC 1894 after the season .

At the traditional club in Döbling , however, Lederer never got going and only played two championship games. He returned to Rapid Vienna after one season. The then 21-year-old got into better shape with his youth club and ultimately played 26 games in three seasons. He then moved to AO Patraikos Patra in the Greek Beta Ethniki . He stayed in Greece for only half a year and then moved back to Austria. He signed a contract with the second division LASK Linz .

After initial difficulties, the midfielder became a regular. The move to the then Bundesliga club Admira Wacker Mödling followed . Lederer was also a regular at the Südstadt team. After half a year he moved to the national league team ASK Schwadorf , which, supported by Richard Trenkwalder , was planning the march into the Bundesliga. Schwadorf failed in the first division and played against relegation, whereupon Lederer ran away and found accommodation with Admira Wacker Mödling, who had since been relegated to the Regionalliga Ost. He initially played on the combat team. After Richard Trenkwalder joined the Mödlingers and acquired the first league license from Schwadorf, Lederer became the player-coach of the amateur team. He left Admira in 2010 as a player and joined the regional division SC Leopoldsdorf / Vienna . Between 2012 and 2015, the Lederer, who lives in the market town of Pfaffstätten , deposited his player pass with SC Pfaffstätten , after which he deposited his player pass from March 2015 with FCM Traiskirchen , from the neighboring town, and from March 2016 with SC Reisenberg, which is also not far away .

As a trainer

In 2010 he became the coach of the second team at FC Admira Wacker Mödling . In June 2013 he became assistant coach , on August 10, 2013 coach of the Bundesliga team of Admira Wacker Mödling . Due to his lack of a coaching license, he had to resign as head coach and Walter Knaller took over his position. However, he stayed with the coaching team as an assistant coach and works closely with Knaller. On April 28, 2014, he announced his extension with Admira until summer 2016. Due to several misunderstandings between Lederer and the ÖFB , he was unable to complete the UEFA Pro license course in September 2014 as planned , but will be able to participate at the earliest at the next appointment.

For the 2016/17 season he was finally officially head coach of Admira, having previously worked in a duo with Ernst Baumeister . During the winter break he was replaced by Damir Burić after six months . In September 2017 he became a trainer at SKN St. Pölten . On April 1, 2018 it was announced that Lederer will be replaced by Dietmar Kühbauer .

In August 2018 he became coach of the regional league team FCM Traiskirchen .
