Bernhard Vaget
Bernhard Vaget (* 1548 in Hamburg ; † November 13, 1613 there ) was a German Lutheran theologian.
Life
Born as the son of the elder Paul Vaget, he studied at the University of Rostock as a student of the famous David Chytraeus . Presumably there he earned a master's degree in the seven liberal arts . In 1572 he became a teacher at the Bordesholmer monastery school and in 1580 at the school in Tondern . On March 31, 1587 he became the main pastor of the St. Nikolaikirche in Hamburg . In 1600 he received the dignity of Senior of the Spiritual Ministry of the City of Hamburg, making him the city's first pastor.
