Bernhard Villmow

Bernhard Villmow (born July 22, 1946 in Aalen ) is a German lawyer and university professor.

Life

He completed his studies and legal clerkship in Heidelberg , Kiel , Tübingen and Freiburg im Breisgau . After completing his doctorate at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg in 1976, he was a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law from 1977 to 1979 . From 1979 to 2011 he was Professor of Criminology at the University of Hamburg .

His research areas are crime statistics and dark field , juvenile delinquency , foreign crime , victimology and sanctions research .
