Bernhard Wolf (* 1965 in Klagenfurt , Carinthia) is a visual artist from Austria.

life and work

From 1992 to 1996 Wolf studied at the Free Academy Moscow with Aleksander Petlura . Wolf is a member of the Free Academy Moscow, the Forum Stadtpark Graz, the FOND Graz and the Art Association of Carinthia . Together with Carola Peschl he headed the Forum Stadtpark Graz from 2007 to 2010. He works in Graz and Vienna .

In his painting, Wolf deals with logo culture, visual communication and archetypes of pop culture.

Wolf also realized and realizes numerous temporary and permanent works in public spaces inside and outside Austria.

A distinctive point of his work is the exchange with the contemporary art scene in Russia and the Ukraine, among others in group exhibitions with Aristarch Chernyshev , Wladislaw Jefimow , Aleksander Petlura , Bronislava Dubner. Oleg Kulik , Artem Filatov, Vova Chernyshev.

In 2003, Wolf, together with Judith Schwentner and Herwig G. Höller, organized a festival on the contemporary art scene from St. Petersburg, Russia, as part of "Graz 2003 - European Capital of Culture "
